We've been using a single-server installation. I'm wondering if a multi-server installation might be better for us.
Our usage is low right now but will grow quickly. But I'm also interested in a more secure system.
- How much better is multi-server security?
Seems like it should be MUCH better b/c you can have a public-facing server and a more secure private.
- What is the best initial set-up?
It seems that given our low-medium usage, two servers would work fine for now, configured as:
1) public facing: mta+proxy+ldap(replica)
2) private facing (behind nat): mailstore+ldap+logger
Any tips for set-up would be much appreciated. I have looked at documentation and forum posts but there always seems to be more to know, and I'd like to avoid 'gotcha's' if I can.
Thanks in advance for any help.
