Just migrated a small Zimbra NE installation to a remote machine. The problem is the amount of local storage is somewhat smaller than I had before. Rather then keeping 4 full backups uncompressed + daily incrementals, I'd quite like to keep only 2 full backups within our /opt/zimbra/backup directory. Then the rest I will compress and transfer over to another provider.
I can create a simple shell script to handle the compression, encryption and transfer.
But is there a way to trigger a script once a Zimbra backup job is completed?
I don't want to have to run zmbackupquery every X minutes and grepping for the status. Or relying on the fact that my backups normally take 60 minutes and scheduling a script to a hard-coded time.
Is there a more reliable method of triggering a shell script once a backup has completed?
