    Default "A Network Error occured" - can't log back in

    Hello,

    I have a new server installed. Just starting to test, but have been stopped because of an error that we are receiving. User logs in and uses Zimbra fine for a while, then she gets kicked out with a error on the login screen - "A network error has occured, please correct any errors and retry". The user cannot log back in for an hour or more.

    I cannot find any errors that correlate to the time when she is booted, except in '/opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log' - there is a "SessionCache - 1 idle session was closed" type message. These do seem to correlate with the problem, but they occur other places in the log file as well.

    This is a clean install of 4.5.0RHEL4_64. User has tried IE 7 and Firefox. I had her purge all cookies after the last time she got kicked out - to see if it had somethig to do with a session cookie, but that didn't seem to help.

    Has anybody seem this one before?

    Thanks,

    Dave Redmore

    Is this only on a single account?

    Everyone else runs okay?

    I only have one user for now. I can't roll out to others for test until I can get this one user running... We are stuck in a "holding pattern" because I can't get past this issue...

    If the user goes to a different computer, does that help?

    What does
    zmlocalconfig | grep tomcat

    return?

    I have a quite similar problem, RH4ES3 ZCS network edition 4.5

    From inside my network, i have no problem to connect to zimbra.
    From the internet, from time to time, i am unable to reach my server. And then suddenly everything is ok till the next "blackout".
    Logs of firewall are OK...

    Do you have any advices to find out why ?

    NOZIL,
    Anything in your logs:
    /var/log/zimbra.log (POSTFIX & services)
    /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log (everything else)

    These logs are usefull for problems when you can log into zimbra, but
    when this problem occurs, i even don't reach the zimbra login page !!!

    And what's strange is the fact that in the same time, my zimbra server
    is still working for users in the lan !!!

    Default output from zmlocalconfig | grep tomcat

    wannabetenor -

    I'm seeing if we can get another user going today.

    The output from 'zmlocalconfig | grep tomcat' is this:

    tomcat_directory = ${zimbra_home}/tomcat
    tomcat_java_heap_memory_percent = 30
    tomcat_java_home = ${zimbra_java_home}
    tomcat_java_options = -client -XX:NewRatio=2
    tomcat_keystore = ${tomcat_directory}/conf/keystore
    tomcat_pidfile = ${zimbra_log_directory}/tomcat.pid
    zimlet_directory = ${tomcat_directory}/webapps/service/zimlet

    Thanks for your help,

    Dave Redmore

    Dave,
    Increase that to at least 50:
    zmlocalconfig -e tomcat_java_heap_memory_percent="50"
