Default Catchall not working as expected?

    Guys,

In the midst of a migration, and trying to set up a catchall for all of our domains.

I've put the list of domains (around 50) in a file called domain.txt, and then I'm running the following:

    for each in `cat domain.txt`
    do
    echo $each
    zmprov ma catchall@oneofourdomains.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress "@$each"
    done

I've tried it both with and without the quotes around "@$each"

This doesn't not seem to take hold...no error or success message is given. I then try to run it manually from the command line, like:

    zmprov ma catchall@oneofourdomains.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @onedomain.com

Still no output, and I'm still getting bounces from various address. The bounce I get is:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    test@onedomain.com on 2/24/2007 9:40 AM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
    < mail.otherdomain.com #5.1.1 SMTP; 550 <test@onedomain.com>: Recipient address rejected: onedomain.com>

The onedomain.com is indeed added to the system...I can view it through the admin interface.

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks guys!

I also, on a hunch, tried adding aliases for each domain to the account catchall@oneofourdomains.com, so that the domain and domain in the catch all address matches up. So instead of:

    zmprov ma catchall@oneofourdomains.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @onedomain.com

    I now do:

    zmprov ma catchall@onedomain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @onedomain.com

And the catchall@onedomain.com is an alias to catchall@oneofourdomains.com. Still no love.

Anyone? Please ;-)? I'm growing desperate...think we're dropping some mail because of it (don't ask, bad approach from way back).

    TIA,
    jbwiv

Hmm...looks like the *last* domain is working. So it apppears that an account can't be a catchall for multiple domains...this is a 1 to 1 setting, not a 1 to many.

I can verify this by doing:

zmprov GetAccount catchall@onedomain.com | grep zimbraMailCatchAllAddress

    Default Multi-value syntax

Does it work if you add a '+' in the zmprov query? For instance,
    Code:
    zmprov ma catchall@onedomain.com +zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @onedomain.com
I can tell from the source that the attribute is permitted to be multi-valued:
    Code:
    <attr id="214" name="zimbraMailCatchAllAddress" type="regex" max="256" value="^@[A-Za-z0-9-\.]+$" cardinality="multi" optionalIn="mailRecipient">
<desc>Address to catch all messages to specified domain</desc>
    </attr>

    Indeed it does! Thank you!

Sigh...learning as I go. I really, really appreciate your help!
