I would like to update to the latest version of Zimbra Open Source Edition and have come across a few web pages out there that help explains what needs to happen but I guess I need more in depth help.
I am pretty new to email administration and have not worked on linux servers to much. From the web pages I have come across they mentioned the server should first be upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which makes sense but I figure the server should be backup in case something happens. What would be the best process to backup the server to another server with hard drive space (more than likely a windows server box).
It would be great to have this finished soon but at least there is not a set deadline on this project. I just want to make sure and get this right so we will not have unscheduled downtime or loss of emails.
