    Default Exchange Migration--destructive or duplicative?

Hi, from the docs and previous posts I am unsure as to whether the Migration tool migrates as in duplicates foders/messages/contacts or as in moves (i.e. no longer on the Exchange server). I would think that duplicate would be a lot safer just in case you have to revert or something happens (e.g. hard drive failure, network failure, etc.)....

    Thanks!

    Hi

Yes, it duplicates. I've used it on a WIN2K3 Exchange 2003 server and it works fine (on my system ). All the folders, mail and contacts were in Zimbra.

    Regards

    Bill

Phoenix is correct, the migration wizard copies items from exchange to zimbra.

    Default Thanks Guys!

Thanks Guys! I will give it a try, now that I know it is non-destructive in nature.

You do want to create a new profile though. It says that in the docs, but just make sure you don't use your normal profile.
