Default Zimbra 7.2.6 - slow/unresponsive server, cpu usage pegged over 100%

    Hi,

Periodically, I have to `zmcontrol restart` as the server becomes unresponsive. The Zimbra web interface is slow and times out. Restarting the service cures this. I have only seen this since upgrading to 7.2.6. I'm aware 7.2.7 is available and I will schedule an upgrade but I do not see anything in the 7.2.7 release notes under "major issues" or otherwise which might relate to this issue.

This is the process from `ps aux` which seems to be causing the issues:

    zimbra 10589 10.2 17.3 4565328 4286500 ? Sl May30 9915:14 /opt/zimbra/java/bin/java -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -server -XX:NewRatio=2 -Djava.awt.headless=true -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=1 -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCApplicationStoppedTime -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:-OmitStackTraceInFastThrow -Xss256k -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=60 -Xms3594m -Xmx3594m -Xmn898m -Djava.io.tmpdir=/opt/zimbra/mailboxd/work -Djava.library.path=/opt/zimbra/lib -Djava.endorsed.dirs=/opt/zimbra/mailboxd/common/endorsed -Dzimbra.config=/opt/zimbra/conf/localconfig.xml -Djetty.home=/opt/zimbra/mailboxd -DSTART=/opt/zimbra/mailboxd/etc/start.config -jar /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/start.jar /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/etc/jetty.properties /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/etc/jetty-setuid.xml /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/etc/jetty.xml

I have an `lsof` of this PID during the last time the server was slow if that helps diagnose the issue?

    Thanks,

No one else has encountered such behavior?

I'm not quite sure what i'm looking for. I see many, many threads across different versions of Zimbra, different operating systems, etc.. I was looking for a problem that related specifically to 7.2.6. This never seem to happen on 7.2.5. It's happened perhaps 6 times since we upgraded to 7.2.6. There seem to be many different solutions offered across the threads I have found too which I am very wary to implement without knowing they will fix this specific issue.

I should add I do not think this is a resource issue. The system is has dual Xeon E5430, 24gb ram. I'll continue to look.

Unless you can provide a specific link that might assist?

    Thanks.
