Default BES 10.2.3 with Zimbra 8.0.6 - unable to activate the blackberry device

    Hello friends,

I have installed and integrated BES 10.2 with Zimbra 8.0.6 via LDAP and active sync running over port 443, but when we try to put the email account password during the device activation we get authentication error..

Can some one who has successfully done the integration here

    Regards,

    Sumit

Hi Jorgedelacruz, thanks for reply, but the docs is for BES 5 and not for BES 10.2 as requested.

As specified in the ZCB documentation (release notes), "ZCB supports BES and BES Express, versions 5.0 through 5.0.3. Versions 5.0.4 and higher are not supported.".

    Hi Klug,
Thanks for your reply. I understand that ZCB doesn't support any version other than BES 5, but BES 10 is very different from BES 5 since it needs only Active sync and ldap connectivity to work with any mail platform.

Hence given above information it's should work since ZCB supports active sync and LDAP.

Now the challenge is getting device activated. Everything else is done - LDAP integration and active sync is added between BES 10 and ZCB.

Your help would help bring two technologies together

    Regards,

    Sumit

Then it's an activation issue you should check/solve with RIM and your mobile network provider.
Most of the time, activation doesn't work because there's a provisioning issue by the network provider (BES options not checked for the subscription).

About three months ago I tested bes 10.2 with Zimbra 8.0.6 OSE + Z-push. It worked very well .
