Default Zimbra using another email server

    hi all,

We are required to use zimbra as collaboration tool, but some people does not want to change their email server (exchange server) . My question is, can we do that Zimbra server reads in some way the email in exchange server, so the only place they read the email was in zimbra client?

Ive seen that now web client can read POP accounts, but I suppose that it needs user configuration of the account, and we want it to be more integrated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi jrramon,

Please do not take my answer as authoritative. In my limited understanding, what you say isn't possible out-of-the-box. You can try to inject email into Zimbra using LMTP which runs on port 7025.

zmlmtpinject is one script that can help in injecting emails.

It contains of the following line:

    exec `dirname $0`/zmjava com.zimbra.cs.lmtpserver.utils.LmtpInject "$@"
You need to look at the source for LmtpInject.
