Unhappy disabling AS/AV causes mail defers

    Hello,

I know I asked this question many times here, but here I go again.
The version of Zimbra I am running is:
    Release 4.0.4_GA_457.UBUNTU6 UBUNTU6 FOSS edition

I know there was a bug in Zimbra before version 4.0.2 when disabling AS/AV caused mail defers. As far as I know however that bug was fixed as of version 4.0.2. Apparently it is not in my version.

Can anyone please point me to the solution? I really need to get this fixed.

    Thanks a lot.

Yeah, this is a known issue.
I can't seem to find it in the bugzilla, but I know it's there, and it's not fixed.

Search, and maybe you can find it.

Can you guys at least give some practical advise on how to no disable as/av but somehow make it work faster. Like say make it not do anything - just receive and hand back messages without any delay.

    Thank you

What if I comment out these lines in the master.cf file?

    Code:
    #smtp-amavis unix - - n - 10 smtp
    # -o smtp_data_done_timeout=1200
    # -o smtp_send_xforward_command=yes
    # -o disable_dns_lookups=yes
    # -o max_use=20
    #127.0.0.1:10025 inet n - n - - smtpd
    # -o content_filter=
    # -o local_recipient_maps=
    # -o virtual_mailbox_maps=
    # -o virtual_alias_maps=
    # -o relay_recipient_maps=
