I was having the same trouble as listed at the beginning of this thread...

I've made the changes to zmtrainsa as noted above... but now I get the following errors:

    Code:
    fetchmail: mailbox selection failed
fetchmail: client/server synchronization error while fetching from domain_changed.com
Option --remote is not supported with POP3
    fetchmail: Query status=5 (SYNTAX)
Any ideas what the problem might be?

    Thanks for your help!

I had the same thing with M1 right before I changed to M2. I never did figure out what it was.

    Hi

There's 28 files in that directory but I'm not really conversant with spamassassin so I couldn't say if it's normal. If you have a look in the rules directory for SA 3.1 that you've installed then you'll see a lot less files and slightly different rules, I'm new to linux & SA so I still have steep learning curve to climb.

If I make an account called spam@domain.com and forward my spam to it, and then run a cron job to use zmtrainsa is it goin to start thing mail from domain.com is spam or does it analyze the content more than who it is from?

We can do this for you today. There are two magic LDAP config attributes zimbraSpamIsSpamAccount and zimbraSpamIsNotSpamAccount - if set then these addresses are emailed a copy of the message. Soon (not in the release that's coming up, but hopefully in the one after that), we will have that wired up to feed SA's bayes, and empty the accounts etc.

So then all you have to do it use the Junk button and have your zmsatrain look at those mailboxes.

To force fetchmail to make its lock in another directory just set HOME="/tmp/dir" inside the script and it will use that as its user's home.
