    Smile https & Newbie Question

I just loaded up the Network Trial version on Ubuntu. I went with the default settings and now, a bit anxious, want to know how to get around two things:

    * I can http to the web client but not https. I thought the default would allow https to the web client. What do I have to tweak to get https to work? Of course I can https to the web admin client.

    * How can I disable the "Identity Tab"? I don't want my users to be able to change where their mail is coming from, etc. I didn't see a way in the Global settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

    Please don't post duplicate messages.

The mail identities is in the COS service in the Admin UI. The Admin UI is https by default and user access is http by default. If you want to change user access to https you need to change the mode, search the forums & wiki for the details.

    Smile https & Newbie Question

Sorry, I was excited to have Zimbra up and running so quickly and wanted to get rolling...

I found the https info, but I can't seem to disable the Identities Tab. I have unchecked the "Mail Identities" box in the admin console -> Configuration -> Class of Service -> default - features tab

When I check the user account -> features tab, Mail Identities, it is unchecked.

When I go in as the user and go to Options, the Mail Identities tab is there and I can go in and set an identity.

Am I going about this wrong, or can't you disable this feature by unchecking the Mail Identities box?

    Thx!

Did you restart Tomcat or the Zimbra services?

I just did a quick test on my end by disabling Mail Identities for one user. Looks like the Mail Identities tab is still present, I guess to allow the setup of signatures. However, the Add and Remove buttons were no longer there. No need to stop and start Tomcat or Zimbra, at least in my case. All I did was log off the user and log back in. Maybe clearing the browser cache would help as well?

I should have mentioned that I did a shutdown/reboot of the server before posting, so that should be equivalent of restarting the services?

Also, users don't see anyone or any mailing list, listed when they view the GAL, but autocomplete works. To my knowledge, I am not hiding anyone or list from the GAL.

    Thx!
