Default Can't send or receive messages

    hi,

I have just installed zcs-4.5.4-20070418.SuSE10 on my opensSUSE 10.2 and the installation went fine with out problems (although I had a problem after that in logging to the server and the administrator console, but it was solved after disabling IPv6).

I could now create new accounts and log in to them with out problems, except for that I cannot receive any messages from any account and when I send a message it doesn't reach the destination.

I checked the server status and found all it's components are running .....

and now I don't know what to do ??

    regards
    Hany

sorry I forgot to say that when I send a message the server tells me that my message has been sent and the message appears in my Sent folder but doesn't reach the destination as I mentioned before

    Thanks

Have you enabled the 'use DNS' option in the admin UI?

Look in Servers/yourserver/MTA - Enable DNS lookups.

It would help if you tell us where they're being sent to, why you think they aren't getting there and what's in the logs showing the mail leaving the system.

You said in the title of this thread that you aren't receiving any mail, are you?
    Regards

    Hi,

I checked the wikis today and found a problem like mine stated there and the solution they suggested was to disable the Lookup DNS option cause I don't have an internal DNS for my PC.
I did so and it worked very good, I can now receive messages.

Thank you for your time helping me.

    Regards
    Hany

That will only allow you to use internal messages, you'll need DNS lookups to send/receive external mail.
