Default Windows version of Zimbra server?

    Hello all!

Is it likely/possible that there'll ever be a native Windows version of the server, for those of us that dont want to move to Linux just yet?

As far as I can see, all of the major open source softwares that the server is based upon exist in Windows versions too, so it doesn't seem too impossible!

    Hello, welcome to the forum.

This question has been asked and answered several times.
    It's no.

Postfix (at least) does not exists under Windows.

But you can use VMWare if you want to stick with Windows.

Thanks - I did look for a FAQ and search the forums for 'Windows' without finding anything.

Yes virtualisation is one way to do it, but we'd prefer to not have to administer a Linux server even if it's virtual, as our expertise is all Windows server.

    Thanks again.

If you can manage a Windows server you'll find it easy to manage a Linux server (such as RHEL). The set-up for a linux server with Zimbra on is far less complex than a Windows solution.
