Question ZCS 7.1.3 upgrade breaks CalDAV

I have a VPS running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with Zimbra, syncing the calendar with my Android phone and a OS X Lion notebook (iCal) via CalDAV.

After upgrading zimbra to 7.1.3 (from 7.1.2), neither CalDAV sync works anymore; no errors were given during the upgrade.

In an attempt to fix this issue, I removed the calendar from iCal and tried to re-add it. It no longer automatically finds the calendar, and when I manually add the URL (/principals/users/olivier/) it gives the (dutch) error "De accountinformatie is niet gevonden", which translates to "The accountinformation has not been found."

When I use a browser to browse to the URL it does list a XML like page:

    Code:
    Request

    	Authenticated user:	olivier@olivierfaber.com
Current date: Wed Oct 12 12:14:49 CEST 2011

I assume i am not the only one with this setup so there must be something wrong with my server.. Any clues?

I get the same here, but I'm specifying the calendar I'm linking to, so I didn't have the error. I'm using (Under Mageia Linux)

    https://server/dav/emailaddress/Calendar

Also, when I try to configure the VMware Zimbra Android app, it says "Unable to open connection to server".. In the manual setup it also gives this error but then adds "Server Internal Error".

I'm stuck here.. Is there a specific log file I should be looking at?

The Zimbra Android app isn't for CalDav, it's for ActiveSync. This will only work with either the Network Edition of Zimbra or running Z-Push.

Ah that explains, thanks. Still, the CalDAV problem persists...

    Edit:
Same goes for CardDAV, not functioning on OS X (address book) and Android phone with CardDAV-sync app..

Well, you're both using the same OS. I'm about to upgrade a RedHat server, so I'll test and see if it happens there as well.

    Thanks for posting.

Just upgraded a test server to 7.1.3 from 7.1.1, running RHEL 5 64 bit, and CalDAV is working fine with iCal 4.0.4 (1395.7) under Snow Leopard.

So I think you should open a bug report (noting the different results for Ubuntu & Redhat) and post the number here.

No idea how a bug report is normally formulated but I opened one:

How much time does such a process usually take?

It varies, but they usually get around to it. Adding votes can raise the visibility, so please vote if you haven't already, and see if you can get your colleagues to vote, too.
