Default I mean to just get createTimestamp !

I mean to get createTimestamp only ! NOT get all the ldap information . such as , "command | grep createTimeStamp " .

To see the createTimestamp attribute, you will need to do an authenticated bind. Since you don't provide an example of your ldap search, I can't give you direction past that.

Default I always get the value of some attributes by this.

Such as , I can get user's shadow password by the command :

    ldapsearch -H ldap://hostname:389 -x -w ldappass -D "uid=zimbra,cn=admins,cn=zimbra" uid=username | grep userPassword

And I need to get the value of attribute createTimeStamp like this .

    some suggest ?
