Default Silent login and new message with a single post

    Hello,

We are currently utilizing silent login through an authToken to send users directly into their Zimbra collaboration suite account. We can successfully use the "app" parameter to forward the user to the proper section of the suite. Now, when we try to add the "view" parameter as described here:

    http://cvs.zimbra.com:8080/viewrep/~...clienturls.txt

we are having a problem with creating a new message - doesn't seem like we can do the silent authentication and the subview in the same action. Is this true? If not (and this means we have a problem on our end which we should be able to solve) where are the rest of the subviews documented? In particular creating a new contact and a new appointment?

Maybe someone who's already done this can shed some light on this. Thanks in advance.

    Chris

... and as it usually happens, one spends two days working on a problem, posts a question and 30 minutes later finds the answer himself. I'll post it here just in case someone else runs into the same problem:

If you specify the "app" parameter in the URL (e.g. "app=") you must also specify a value. So you either have to pass both "app=mail&view=compose" or you have to completely omit the "app" parameter. We were passing "app=&view=compose". If you do this the URL parser will fail (at least in IE6).
