Default Roadmap for Distribution Lists convert to Mailing list service?

Currently we use a third party open source mailing list service that provides moderation, some digesting, but mostly archiving lists emails.

It would be wonderful to know if their are any expansion services being added to the distribution list set. Just upgraded to 6.0.10, and would love to reduce my vm footprint.

I doubt very much that a mailing list manager would be added to the Zimbra functionality. You should have a look in bugzilla for any outstanding RFEs for that feature and file one if you're interested.
