    Default Couple of small questions!

    Hi there,

    A couple of questions please.
    1. Can you access the database directly using SQL or do you have to use your API's
    2. Is the file soap.txt a list of all your API's
    3. Can you please give me an example of how I can use/invoke one of these API's from code. E.g. using a .NET language preferably, how could I retrieve a list of all email messages?

    Thanks a million

Some of the consistency checks are in software, so we strongly suggest that you use our APIs to access the Zimbra data. And yes, those APIs are detailed in soap*.txt.

As for examples, I'd suggest searching the forums.

How would you create a proxy file in .net (Visual Studio) if there's no WSDL file available ?

    Default No WSDL

I'd code to the protocol as laid out in soap.txt. If I wasn't able to do that absent WSDL, I'd probably try to find/hire someone who could...

    Angry

"I'd code to the protocol as laid out in soap.txt. If I wasn't able to do that absent WSDL, I'd probably try to find/hire someone who could..."

Hmmm doesn't sound helpful to me at all..

    So Far

    1. I tried to create a WSDL and proxy myself but didn't work..
    2. Simulate http post --> works after lot of effort/hacking..

But is it the right way of doing things ??? I don't think so.
