    Default Unable to sync with yahoo.co.uk account

    I installed zimbra desktop about a week ago but I have never been able to get a successfull sync, it always ends in error. I either get an authentication error, a message telling me my password may have changed and I should re-validate or Zimbra just goes offline without downloading any mail. The logs sometime show a timeout error. I am currently getting the error below. I haven't seen any other similar problems, is this Zimbra or is something up with my yahoo plus account?

    From the error it looks like an authentication problem. Could you go to account setup to validate your user/pass? Which build are you running? You should be on 1482.

    I have been to the account setup on many occasions to validate my user/password but sync then fails soon after my account is validated. I am at work so can't check my build number but Zimbra updated itself yesterday so it should be running the latest build.

    I am also frequently getting Error #5 my yahoo webmail account, this started just after installing Zimbra.

    Which version are you on? Are you sure it's build 1482?

    what is the sync frequency you chose? and are you doing contacts/calendar sync with yahoo as well?

    I have tried different sync frequencys, I am currently set to 15 minutes and syncing contacts but no calendar. I have tried not syncing contacts but it makes no difference.

    I have done that, Zimbra was authorised to access my yahoo account. I now have a sync not ending in an error but not all folders and contacts are being synced.

    please give it some time as sync may take a long time on large mailboxes.
