    Default Gal Sync Issue

    I am using Zimbra Desktop client with a ZCS. However, the GAL capability is turned off so I get the following error constantly from the Zimbra DC. I don't really want to switch to IMAP but I might if I can't disable the offline GAL sync.

    Is there an option to turn off the offline GAL sync in the Desktop Client?

    Default

    There are two ways of disabling GAL sync on desktop.

    1) your ZCS admin can set zimbraFeatureGalSyncEnabled to false in your online account setting.

    2) add this key to your conf/localconfig.xml and restart desktop:

    <key name="zdesktop_sync_gal">
    <value>false</value>
    </key>

    That is exactly what I needed for the client. Thanks!
