Default Couldn't access Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop server....

    Hello All,

I get the following JS error : Couldn't access Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop server. If issue persists after reinstall, please check logs for errors and report to Zimbra Desktop - Zimbra - Forums.

    I am not OSX 10.6.2 & Zimbra 1.0 1593 Build

This error just appeared after i upgraded to snow lepoard ( possible after the Java updated to a new version i am not 100% sure ).

I am nervous to reinstall as i dont want to lose my mail.

I see the form recommends giving logs however the logs do not seem to be updated since the problem occurs so i have pasted the zdesktop.out file below :

yes, you should download the newer version from Zimbra offers Open Source email server software and shared calendar for Linux and the Mac.. it's due to snow leopard upgrade (incompatible zimbranative.so).

you will not lose email during upgrade. but always a good idea to shutdown zimbra service completely and do a backup first, especially backing up "store, index and derby" sub-folders.

Default Issue seems to lie with uninstall

When uninstalling zimbra, it leaves the following directory intact.
    C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Zimbra

If this directory is not deleted manually then reinstall does not work.
Delete this directory first before reinstalling.
I did and the reinstall worked.

Note: searching for this folder (Zimbra) may not detect it on Vista (becuase that folder is hidden.

Also on XP the above directory may be located at a different place.
Probably this folder contains user data also, so may want to save it first before deleting parent directory...

P.S.: this post appies to the Zdesktop client, btw.
