lost my zimbra desktop
The other day I received a pop up window to install a security update for my zimbra desktop. I clicked on all of the required tabs, but instead of installing the update my zimbra desktop was no longer there. How do I recover and restore the desktop as I had some very important emails there and now I cannot find them. When I click on the zimbra icon zimbra pops up at the bottom of the desktop for 1 second and disappears. When I go to support and I type in my user name it comes up as it cannot find it. Help. Thank you in advance.
Yeah, this kinda just happened to me, too, but every time I try to post to forums, the forum is closed for new posts!!!!!
My situation is that I thought my computer had been hacked or that it caught a virus so I downloaded AVG. Almost immediately I completely lost my ZDT with a message that said I needed to reinstall. Well, BULL! I've had too much trouble with ZDT to consider reinstalling.
Sharon788, fyi, unless you deleted the email from your original email account, all your emails should still be available to you.
Hope I kinda helped you.
Thanks for responding. I appreciate it. Unfortunately the email account that I have changed over their system and used zimbra as a holding area, but those emails were deleted by the other system when it changed over so unfortunately I no longer have access to those emails. I am definitely not very happy. And I am with you, I will not be reinstalling zimbra as it does not seem to be very reliable. Thanks again.
ZDesktop will be EOL in a few months. Just take any other mail client..
Simply donīt waste your time with ZDesktop.
wangxin, i'm anger!
I've an small enterprise base ZDesktop, about 200 hundreds PC's.
That's why
Time to start planning your migration from ZD to something else that works...

Also for Sharon 788...............
Just FYI, while I was uninstalling newly installed programs (everything from April), all of a sudden ZD lliterally JUMPED up and started working again. Well, ??????????????? I was so SHOCKED, and all new emails had already been downloaded. (I was off line) So, SOMETHING I had put into my computer had really screwed it up. Even AVG didn't find it. Is it possible that might have happened to you?
End of Life.
