Out of Office sync
I'm new to the forum so apologies if this issue has already been covered.
I have just experienced a situation with OoO where, on returning home from the office at the start of a vacation, I realized that I had forgotten to switch it on. I use the Zimbra desktop client at work but at home, just logged in via the web client and switched on my OoO.
However, on returning to work, it was brought to my attention that people were still receiving my OoO notifications. When I checked the status in the desktop client, my OoO was switched off (in fact it still had an old message). The web client however showed that my OoO was enabled and still working.
Does this mean that OoO does not sync between the web and desktop clients?
In 1083 there was a bug in directory sync. if you have ever restarted your computer (or manually restarted the background service of zdesktop) after creating the account, directory sync no longer kicks in. That's probably what you are seeing. This bug has been fixed and will be in the next release. Thanks!
