Question Issues with Firefox, Zimbra Webmail, Calendar, Find Locations

    Hello everyone,

If this has been addressed by all means reference the correct thread in your reply, however here is the issue at hand.

We recently upgraded to the latest version of Zimbra 5. Our employees reserve conference rooms by going into the Zimbra Webmail, Calendars, New, and then Find Location to look up a room and see if it is reserved or not. However, this morning I was notified (we did the upgrade over the weekend), that people on Macs with Firefox and a few WinXP/Firefox users will hit the Search button under Find Locations tab and nothing will appear. It doesn't appear that the website tries to load any information either as the Firefox circle in the upper right of the browser doesn't turn at all.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Thank you again for any time taken to investigate and/or reply.

    Sincerely,
    Glassman

Are your users entering anything in the search fields?

Hitting search with nothing entered won't actually send a search request to the server.

Regardless, you can check whether the web client is actually talking with the server:

Load the webclient with "?dev=1" appended to the url. This will bring up a debug window where all requests/responses are logged (among other debug info).

Go to calendar > new appointment > Find Locations tab, enter something in one of the search fields and try clicking search.

You should see a SearchCalendarResourcesRequest being sent to the server along with a response of the results.

    Hello,

    I've got the same problem.

Using Zimbra 5.0.10_GA_2638.UBUNTU6 on an Ubuntu Dapper system. We have about 140 Users on the system.

it doesn't matter what I try to search for. 'Besprechungsraum A' or 'B' or '' ... no results are shown.
I tried everything to find existing Locations but.... no chance...
The funny thing: At some users it works perfectly. Even searching for '' works without any problems. It shows then every location.
What makes it more confusing is: If I log on with a colleges account, on my machine: it works... And the college has the same rights and parameters as I have.

    Happy with any suggestions
    Marco
