Thread: Sent Messages arent showing up in sent foler...

    Exclamation Sent Messages arent showing up in sent foler...

    Im trying to move my company (30+ employees) to Zimbra but im beta testing myself first. Ive installed Zimbra Desktop and for the life of me there are a few things that are frusting the heck out of me (and keeping me from wanting to deploy more installments)

    - Ive installed in a new download of ZD to both my laptop and pc at work. In both cases, NO MESSAGES EVER APPEAR IN THE SENT FOLDER. Obviously i need any sent mail to appear in the sent folder. PLEASE HELP!

    - Is there a spell checker on this thing? Can i add a spell checker to ZD? I cant deploy this large scale if not.

    - I cant seem to make hyperlinks active in emails i send - even though I am in HTML mode and am sending a fresh message - the links never appear as links?

    The Sent mail folder is the biggest issue by far but the other problems could be deal breakers too, please help, anyone!

    In my case, at the account for ZCS server, sent messages are showing up in the sent folder.
    However at the account of POP3, never showed up.
    Any ideas?

    Default Im using a POP3 mail account

    per the previous reply, i wasnt clear in my earlier post.

    Im using my company pop3 account, not a zimbra account.

    It sounds we are both having the same problem - sent POP3 email not showing up in the sent folder...anyone?

    Which version of Zimbra desktop are you using; latest beta 3 ?

    yes, I'm using zdesktop_0_90_build_1251_win32.exe.

    im using Zimbra Desktop, version .90, build 1251.

    Is this the same as version 3.0? I just downloaded it less than a week ago...when i try to update the software it says i have the latest version.

    Switch to the POP3 account and check Preferences > Composing > Sent Messages. Is it configured to save a copy?

    Default i have it configured to keep a copy of sent mail

    i only have one account in zimbra, thats my pop3 work account. So perhaps the 'switch' comment was for the other guy who is running 2 accounts.

    I do have it set to save a copy of my email and have had it set that way from the offset.

    Im stumped!

    I've already configured my POP3 account as check Preferences > Composing > Sent Messages > save a copy. But never saved a copy.

    Just skip over the "switch to your pop3 account" step if that's your only account. That means you're already there.. There's a setting to turn on saving a copy of your sent items in the sent folder under the preferences tab.
