Default Deleted mail reappear on the latested sync

    Hi all,

I had noticed that deleted e-mail in my yahoo account had been
reappear in the Zimbra Desktop, the e-mail is being deleted before
Zimbra had been installed, and the e-mail is no longer exist in my
yahoo account, but those e-mail will be disappear after i click "Empty Trash".
I hope it will not appear again on my next sync.
Is it the Zimbra problem or Yahoo problem?

    Anyone have the similar issue?

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I think zimbra should released this fix as soon as possible.
Currently I need to take a long time to sync my yahoo inbox.
Even I have only 20 e-mail in my inbox, but zimbra had detected
I have over 2000 mails and it take hours to download the mails that never
    longer exist.

understood. but will doing an empty trash from yahoo website do the trick?

also do you use any other clients other than zdesktop? if you use zdesktop to access ymail exclusively, do you still see this issue? thanks!

Only empty trash on the zimbra will clear the deleted mails at the inbox.
But when zimbra re sync with yahoo mail, it will reappear at the in box again.

have you tried doing empty trash on yahoo.com? does that help?

also do you use any other IMAP mail client? for example, do you use a mobile phone to access your yahoo mail? just want to see where the messages with \Deleted flags are from. Usually they are left over by other IMAP clients. For ymail it's often mobile devices.

empty trash on yahoo.com will not help my current issue...
it still appear those e-mail on the inbox of Zimbra and Zimbra is trying to download those e-mail.
Currently Zimbra detect there's 4000 e-mails at yahoo.com's inbox and try downloading now.

As a workaround until we push out the next release, could you please try deleting a message in INBOX from Zimbra Desktop then click on "Check Mail"? This should force an IMAP EXPUNGE with the remote mailbox to clean up the messages flagged \Deleted (not sure why YMail "empty trash" does not do this). If you then click on "Check Mail" one more time we will recognize that those messages have been deleted and clean up the local copies.

Let me know if that does the trick, otherwise we will be pushing out the next release quite soon which should permanently fix the problem.
