    I ended up uninstalling it and deleting everything and starting over to get it working.

    Will do. I'll enter as major/p1 as most people will not think of the workaround to rm -rf *.class or del /s *.class from the jetty work directory .

    desktop server is robust to very robust. It doesn't appear to eat as much memory as before and i've kept it running 24x7 since early july.
