Default Select only certain folders for checking email on startup

When I start up Zimbra Desktop, I would like to check some folders (which receive mail b/c of filters on my IMAP server), but don't want to check all folders because I only transfer mail to them manually.

So to get the initial download, I needed to synch all folders, but now how do I set it to synch just certain ones?

I've tried a lot of changes to default mail search like "in:inbox, myfolder" or "in:inbox;in:myfolder" and so on. None work.

BTW, I see how synch works

    - you set it up to synch and it checks those boxes on the interval chosen
    - you right click ot turn off synch

the services basically controls everything. I totally hate that system, so I think I'm just going to uninstall. I don't think Zimbra Desktop is for me.
