    Default Zimbra Desktop uses 147MB

Zimbra Desktop (build 1338) is using 147MB of RAM, according to the Windows Task Manager.

One hundred and forty-seven million bytes to display a page of my calendar. This is even worse than OpenOffice.

Is there any prospect of some optimization being done?

zdesktop.exe is the backend service - which handles all the service requests from frontend (prism.exe), sync tasks and much more...

the one actually "displays" is prism.exe, which is more like a custom-made web browser.

So that combined with prism could take the ZCD experience over 200MB under Windows ? I think that is what the poster is trying to say.

i believe gborland only looked at zdesktop.exe earlier.

outlook can easily take 200-300MB of memory.

we've been always vigilant on resource usage. improving it is definitely a ongoing process.
