    Default Filters don't sync

Aren't filters supposed to sync between the desktop and the server?

I'm not seeing them sync on both Mac OS and Windows clients. I'm using Build 1338 of Desktop and 5.0.11 of Server.

What exactly isn't working a sync from or to the server? The current Desktop release is 1344, please upgrade and try again.

Upgraded to 1344, and I'm still experiencing filter's not syncing.

To test, I created a filter on the web and the desktop. Here's a screen grab:

For the ones that didn't sync, what types of filters are they? Do they exist on server only? How long have you waited?

Doesn't seem to be related to the type of filter I create (I've tried various combinations)

They don't sync in either direction -- server ones don't appear on the client and vice versa. Doesn't matter how long I wait, I've had the problem for at least weeks now.

However, they used to sync -- when it stopped working I don't know.

Desktop Logs don't seem to give any indication of a problem. The only error I see is that it can't sync sigs (which I understand is a known issue). Is it possible that the failure to sync sigs causes the filter sync to not work?

It could be some kind of error, but without specifics it's hard to reproduce what you are experiencing. I've tried creating/modifying filters on both sides and they do seem to work.

If you create a new filter in desktop, will it show up online?

    Nope.

If I create a filter I just see the following in zdesktop.log

Ah, it looks like signature sync failed and that blocked the directory sync cycle so it didn't even reach filter sync. Please file a bug with the signature sync. Thanks!

I removed all sigs from the server and offline clients and filters started to sync again. (Hazza!)

Filed bug #33556 . Thanks for the help.
