Default Word Wrap in Composed Messages

We have a number of users that read email using text-based tools such as mutt and pine.

These users indicate that the Zimbra desktop (and likely the web clients) generate long lines which their clients do not display properly.

They cite RFC 5322 which states that composed messages should limit line length to 78 characters.

Is this capability available or is this a bug or an RFE?

I think we enforce the "MUST limit" of 998 and not the "SHOULD limit" of 78. And even if we do enforce 78, we'd most likely use BASE64 or quoted-printable encoding to achieve that, which should benefit mutt/pine users. It's still up to the client to wrap the words.

This value of 998 is setup in a option?
There is a way to increse this value?
