Default Zimbra Desktop Zimlet homebrewed doesn't deploy

I am following the Zimbra wiki's tutorial to create a 'Hello World' zimlet .

    I use a Zimbra desktop.

Following a old thread I have been able to 'deploy' my sample zimlet.

It doesn't complain and says everything was ok but (after a kill and a cold startup of the zimbra desktop) there is no new zimlet!

I don't know what else to tray: I give up for this night.

    Does anybody has a suggest?

    Thanks

    Fede

    I made a .xml file

I .zip it using the zip command

    I copy com_zimbra_hello.zip in the dir /home/mune/zimbra/zdesktop/zimlets/

    I do
    Code:
    java -cp jetty/lib/log4j-1.2.8.jar:jetty/common/lib/commons-httpclient-3.0.jar:jetty/common/lib/mail.jar:jetty/common/lib/commons-logging.jar:jetty/common/lib/commons-codec-1.3.jar:jetty/common/lib/json.jar:jetty/common/lib/dom4j-1.5.jar:jetty/common/lib/zimbracommon.jar:jetty/webapps/service/WEB-INF/lib/zimbrastore.jar -Dzimbra.config=conf/localconfig.xml com.zimbra.cs.zimlet.ZimletUtil deploy zimlets/com_zimbra_hello.zip
    this gives no error.

    The dir
    Code:
    /home/mune/zimbra/zdesktop/jetty/webapps/service/zimlet/com_zimbra/
    is creatd and it contains
    Code:
    ls jetty/webapps/service/zimlet/com_zimbra_hello/
    com_zimbra_hello.xml
But when I reopen the zimbra desktop (after I kill it), the new zimlet doesn't appear.

    Does anybody have a suggestion?

I have the same problem. Did you figure out how to get it working?

Yes, a found a solution, but a lot of time is elapsed, so I hope to remember in the right way.

First of all, to test the application, I was using "Zimbra Desktop", which is much more light and faster than the server version.

I remember that the example on a Zimbr'a web page didn't work.

    I created
    Code:
    zimbra/zdesktop/jetty/webapps/service/zimlet/_dev/my_zimlet/
And once restarted ZimbraDesktop, the new zimlet was there.

I found the doc is poor and the learning curve is a vertical wall.
