Default Zimbra Desktop UTF8 Sync problem

Zimbra Desktop 1.0 Build 1482 on Mac OSX 1.5.2

I'm using the above and sending UTF8 encoded email (actually not sure if it's default to UTF8) to myself (on a Community Version ZCS 5.0.13 GA on CentOS 5.2) results in "????" characters when retrieving the email (seems during the SYNC, the UTF8 encoding got lost)

I send the same email over ZCS web, same account, and that works fine with UTF8 encoded characters.

I tried to set the Language on Desktop in Preference/Options to say Chinese, and the menu's all changed to Chinese, but still sending Chinese out got the "???" when I receive the email back (send to myself for example).

Then I created additional account over Yahoo, Gmail, etc, and did the same experiments. The result is the same - loss of UTF8 encoding after SYNC.

    Any idea how to fix?

    Appreciate that

    Francis
