    Post Aol

    Hi from Denmark

I am quite new to this so I hope I am posting to the right place.
Although I have decided to use Zimbra as my default e-mail programme. I do however, have for personal reasons use for an alternative e-mail programme. I have chosen AOL for this but the free edition that AOL now offers. My problem is that I wish to add AOL tomy Zimbra desk top. Zimbra however, requires that I enter my AOL account number which, is not issued with the free edition. Does Zimbra/AOL intend to rectify this or do I have to find another e-mail outlet?

The AOL set-up doesn't ask for an Account Number. It asks for the information shown below are you saying you don't have that?

    Thanks Bill for your reply.
I must emphasise that I am using the FREE version and I am not sure whether or not this makes a difference.
I made a stupid mistake by calling 'Account name' (Account Number instead of Account name). This is where the error message appears so I still don't know where the fault lies! I have checked and checked the other entries to make sure they are right. I don't seem to have any problems when adding GMail.

Oh OK, I now see what you mean. The 'Account Name' in Zimbra Desktop is just the name you wish the account to be identified as. As you can have multiple email accounts you need to identify each of them with your own preference.
