Default [SOLVED] Ubuntu 9.04 - How do I launch Zimbra?

I installed Zimbra desktop on my Ubuntu 9.04 box. During the install it asked me if I wanted a shortcut on my desktop, to which I scoffed and made an anti-Windows comment and clicked no.

Zimbra launched, did some stuff, etc etc. Now that I've rebooted I can't find the thing. My searches have found a zdesktop daemon that I can start or stop, but I can't for the life of me find the executable file to actually get in my email! Where the heck is it?

    Welcome to the forums,

Right click > Create launcher> Type: Application > Command:
    "/home/user/zimbra/zdesktop/linux/prism/zdclient" -webapp "/home/user/zimbra/zdesktop/zdesktop.webapp" -override "/home/user/zimbra/zdesktop/zdesktop.webapp/override.ini" -profile "/home/user/zimbra/zdesktop/profile"
    You can also:
Right click the main menu > Edit Menu > New Item
    or
Right click on the panel > Add to Panel > Create Custom Application Launcher

Wow! That's a heck of a path! Perhaps a message during the install that a shortcut is highly recommended, or some kind of shell script that's easier to remember?

I got it working, thank you.

Filed Bug 37838 - offline : warn/force desktop shortcut on linux

(BTW you can also get the key from the localconfig.xml and visit localhost:7633?at=key - though again you'd have to know that's possible.)

Bug 37837 - offline : prompt for login upon visiting localhost:7633 (we show 'unauthorized access' at present, even when no accounts are provisioned yet) > Bug 27005 - Use master password to protect all other passwords
