Default Security - old version of Java

Secunia PSI (Personal Software Inspector) v1.5.0.0 reports that you installed Sun Java JRE 1.5.x - version 5.0.150.4. I have version 6 update 15 already installed on the system. Can I just update or delete your version with no ill effects at it's present location?:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Local Settings\Application Data\Zimbra\zdesktop\jre\bin\java.exe

How will this situation be handled with later updates to the main e-mail program?

Default Security - old version of Java

I will also like to know the same as this problem about Java comes up for a lot many programs (all that use Java), Zimbra being one of them.

I do not know how Java works but from general experience do know that when a "runtime library" for any program is required, usually only one copy of same is required which usually stays somewhere in System32 directory. In case of Java, I find that every program installs Java.exe or Javaw.exe in its own folder which causes this problem. Getting rid of this will be highly desirable.
