    Default Destop Edition VERY Slow

hi i have the desktop edition installed and it is painfully slow. the time it takes to open a new email or respond to one can be up to a minute for the window to open. i am on a netbook running windows 7 and only have a browser open other than zimbra.

    can anyone help?

What are the hardware stats of this netbook? Processor and RAM?

Well on my system the server process and the application use together about 225 MB of RAM, add in the ~700-900 for the OS to play around with, and you are down to around 400 MB of ram for everything else on your system, depending on which browser you are using and what you have open in it you could easily be running out of available RAM for your computer. 1.5GB of RAM really isn't enough for Vista or Win7, no matter what it says on the minimum requirements. Most recommendations will tell you at least 2 GB of RAM, but as this is a netbook there probably isn't much you can do about that.
