Default Accessing ZD from another machine

    Hi,

If I have ZD installed on a machine, say 192.168.1.101, is there a way from 192.168.1.102 I can access ZD via a browser by using 192.168.1.101:7663?

    Thanks in advance

You could try going into the jetty configuration file and commenting out the line that looks like this:
    Code:
    <Set name="host">127.0.0.1</Set>
On my windows machine this is located at
    Code:
    %localappdata%\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\jetty\etc
But it might be different for you depending on your OS, and which version of ZD you are running.

After making that change you might be able to access it by using the link you get from going to setup and clicking "open in web browser", and then replacing the 127.0.0.1 with the internal IP address.

Thanks for the help. I'm running Vista Home Premium x64. I found the file via search.

I commented out the line and replacing the local host IP with the static IP of the box (192.168.1.102). Neither of those worked.

Do you have a firewall on your machine (this would include the one built into Vista)? If so make sure you unblock the port.
