Is there a way that I can require a password in order to open Zimbra desktop? I don't want anyone just opening the program and looking at my email.
If it is not possible on Zimbra Desktop is that feature available on their other products?
You should password protect your login to the PC and any screen saver that you have enabled.

Even though you can still find/search the store folder on disk, a few want the password ones to be implemented earlier anyways - as someone dropping by and navigating the store isn't as 'easy' as opening Zimbra Desktop. http://www.zimbra.com/forums/../../i...s/rolleyes.gif(It's really a false sense of security though.)
Current best practice is to set a OS level password (login/screensaver & not share accounts), plus OS encryption or storage/disk encryption.
We have already taken several steps towards these goals in the 2.0 betas :
Bug 27936 - offline : Multiple Zimbra Desktop users on one machine
Bug 15608 - install application vs data location
