    Default ZD v2.0 beta 4 Outbox status problem

    Hi,

    I'm trying out ZD v 2.0 beta 4 (zdesktop_2_0_beta4_b10514_macos_intel on Mac OSX 10.5.8).

    After sending an email, the Outbox folder displayed in the left pane, shows that 1 unread message remains in the folder. However, when I open the Outbox, it appears to be empty --- no messages are present at all. It seems that after a message is sent, the status of the Outbox is not being updated on the display. This behavior carries over between Zimbra sessions.

    how often does it happen? any patterns would help to reproduce the issue?

    It happens about once a week. For me, this is a very minor annoyance rather than a functional problem, so I have not looked for a pattern. It looks like a message is stuck in the OUTBOX. But, when I click on the bold OUTBOX there is no message. The bold type changes to regular.

    It shows up for me when I first start up ZD. I viewed the Outbox contents and it was empty, however the bolding did not go away the first time. I then sent an email to someone and next time around the Outbox was also empty and no longer showing bold font with any indication that one unread message remains.

    So it's rather inconsistent. I agree it's a minor annoyance, but would generate multiple Helpdesk calls for us if it continues to appear.

    Yes, it seems to be inconsistent. The next time it happens, I will take a closer look at the circumstances.

    I wanted to add that this is happening to me as well. Is there a bug report open on it?

    I see this with ZD2 RC1 as well.

    In my case, I sent a lone email. The email made it off the system and to its intended destination, and the Outbox still showed 1 unread message.
