    Default running zd on linux boot

    have setup desktop on FC-12 with standard options and all works well .
    how can I get desktop to run on system boot.
    I am the only user of the system and have root access if needed.

    If you're using KDE you can set the programs that should run at startup via your KDE System Settings (I assume there's also the same function in Gnome)

    If you're running Gnome, try looking under System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications
