    Default [SOLVED] Network Proxy Settings

    Hi,

Using Zimbra Desktop 2 and need to connect sometimes through a proxy server while on a vpn.
Cannot see how to configure the proxy server.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,
    Steve

    Hi stevemcevoy07,

It could be more better way to do that. But
"Network proxy setting in ZimbraDesktop2.0" on Yutaka-Notes - Zimbra :: Wiki
    could help you there.

    Hi Yutaka,

Thanks for the response and nearly helps me

    select * from directory_attrs where name="zimbraHttpProxyURL";
This attribute does not exist. I am guessing i need to insert it, but my sqllite knowledge sucks even when using google.

Can you provide an example of the insert statement.

    Thanks,
    Steve

You are absolutely right. You have to insert the data.

    Can you also see
"To Change zimbraPrefMailDefaultCharset in ZimbraDesktop2.0" on Yutaka-Notes - Zimbra :: Wiki

There you can see that directory_attrs table has three attributes entry_id,name,value.
So you just use general SQL(not specific to sqlite3) to insert the data with these attribute.

I can't roll this out to my users without a way for them to set an authenticating proxy. I'd love to move my users over to Zimbra Desptop, but until it gets PGP/GPG and usable proxy support we'll have to stick with Thunderbird. Sigh.
