Unhappy Zimbra Desktop and Mac OSX 10.7 LION

    Hi,
Since upgrading to Lion this morning, I can no longer use my ZD. The update feature of my MacBook Pro pops up and tells me I need to install java runtime but that I am not connected to the internet.
I AM connected and the java is ok.
    Can someone help please?
    Thanks!

Thanks for replying. The problem is when starting ZD the following Mac Update dialogue pops up :

To open "Zimbra Desktop" , you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.
To install a Java runtime later, open "Zimbra Desktop" again.

Under this there are two options
    1) Network Diagnostics
    2) OK

If I click 1) the computer verifies that I am indeed connected to the internet. If I click 2), the dialogue box disappears.

If I try to open ZD again, the same dialogue box appears.
Running software update confirms that my computer is up to date.
I AM connected to the internet....

    Could you suggest anything else?
    Thanks for your time.

Thanks. I have already uninstalled ZD and completely removed it (with CleanMyMac) and rebooted. I then downloaded ZD 7.0.1 from the site. Exactly the same happens. Same dialogue box.

Please tell me how I can check if I have the latest and best Java. I do not know how to check this individually on a Mac. (I only know how to check if there are any updates generally - and there are not at the moment : 20110722).

    Thanks again.

I believe Lion does not include a JVM. You probably need to install it from here:

    Java for OS X Lion

OK. Now I have established that it's not only ZD that did not work. All applications requiring Java.
So as my Macbook Pro does not see any updates (Java not included with OSX Lion 10.7), I downloaded it manually from Download starting... - Softpedia

Now I can at least start ZD --- but it will not connect to the ZD server!!
    HELP!

Hm just noticed doing something else java related that the default apple keystore pass seems to have finally revered to using the sun/oracle default changeit password (instead of changeme used in midway through 10.5.x & 10.6.x):

keytool -list -keystore "/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Home/lib/security/cacerts" -storepass "changeit"

    returns:
    Keystore type: JKS
    Keystore provider: SUN

    Your keystore contains 175 entries
    (and all the finterprints)

    vs

keytool -list -keystore "/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Home/lib/security/cacerts" -storepass "changeit"

    returns:
keytool error: java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect

Welp that's not it, I have one machine that works fine with ZD 7.0.1 10791 Java 1.6.0_26-b03-383-11A511

vs ZD 7.1.1 beta b10867 Java 1.6.0_26-b03-383-11A511c (probably the trailing 'c' because I just tried the install from Java for OS X Lion )

Sway/Danno321 which ZD version were you using originally 7.0.1 or 7.1.1 beta?

I see sway tried 7.0.1 on his re-install, but that didn't work and my 7.0.1 is just fine where as my 7.1.1 isn't.

Sway does your last edit mean your all fine now?
