    Default "To" button is inactive to access contacts

    I'm new to Zimbra Desktop and have just setup email accounts. The accounts are working fine. However, when I compose a new email the "TO" button and "CC" buttons are inactive. When I move the cursor over these buttons it shows a red circle with a line through it. I can't find anything in the preferences to correct this. It must be something simple. Does anyone have a solution how to access the contacts? Thanks in advance
