Default yet another unable to synch thread

    Hi all ....

i absolutely love zimbra and think that it is the greatest email client since sliced bread .... i have come back to it after using outlook for almost a year and was exceited to se that there is a new version out ......so i have set the latest version up on my new laptop ...

however, i am having a major issue trying to get it to synch .... it will synch for a few minutes then i get a little red "x' in the place where the synch symbol was .... i also keep getting error messages when i click on the little red "x" ... (i have posted some of these below ... but i get one every few minutes ... i do not think it is my Internet connection as i have cable and the connection is working fine on other computers in the house)

i have been trying to synch all my folders now for over 2 days and am still no closer to it finishing (i do have a large number of folders - approx 45 ... and a large number of emails - approx 50,000 emails that take up about 8GB of space i think) .... and it is getting very, very frustrating not being able to use zimbra or get it to synch ....

in frustration i have downloaded "Postbox" and it synched all folders and emails in about 40 minutes ... but as good as Postbox is, i would prefer to use zimbra if possible .....

i do realize that this is a community forum, but it is a bit disheartening to see so many messages on the same subject ... with many many views .... but no replies ...

i would appreciate any help or advise on this subject as i really would like to keep and use my fav email client .... but if i cant get it to successfully synch i guess i have no choice other than to ditch it and use something else (does anyone know of another email client that handles 'tags' as well as zimbra?)

here are copies of a few of the messages ....

I can't help at all, but for saying that my yahoo account is much smaller than your email account - less than 1000 emails, only one account, but I'm having a similar problem. Zimbra worked its way through my folders after synching my inbox. A very slow net connection. It got to folder number five, got a few emails, and stopped dead. No new messages into the inbox either, and no emails sent from the outbox that have attachments - but simple emails continued to be sent.

My point is that I wondered whether there is a storage limit. Clearly not so since your volume is so much greater than mine.... But just how much has Zimbra acquired in your case?
