    Default ZD in Karmic

    Hi,
I,ve just installed ZD on my x64 laptop, however no icons and no visibility on start. zdesktop status says daemon is running. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?
    Thanks

I'm guessing since the thread has the title Karmic in it, that it is Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 64bit

    Is this correct?

sorry, i am little bit out of touch with ubuntu distros. thanks lynner.

then what locale you are running, direland? my guess is that the icon was created in the hardcoded ~/Desktop folder, which is wrong for non en-us locales. that's a known issue. the fix is to copy it to your "desktop" folder.

My icon to start the program was actually located in ~/zimbra/zdesktop/linux/linux.desktop then I just sym linked it to the desktop and then used the icon that came with it, kind of a work around but it works.
