Migrating from ZD1 to ZD2 on Mac
May I suggest someone create a note on the Wiki about migrating from 1 to 2 that you need to save your account specific configurations!
I foolishly thought that the information in the account setup pages would be preserved only to find out it isn't and I have to recreate all my accounts.
I'd have been happy if "it" provided a line by line "Here's what you configured it as before." text file for me to then use.

Yea I read it and that's not what I'm talking about. The FAQ you're pointing to *DOES* say:

What I'm saying is that it's not clear enough and is going to leave some of us having to do a great deal more work than would be needed had we known *IN ADVANCE* that the "exporrt/import" process, while not being able to do all the subtle email, calendar, tasks, briefcases, etc. settings *DOES NOT* do the one thing that doesn't seem to have changed from the user's point of view and that is the account setup configurations.
In short, the release notes, at minimum, need a warning between the part that says "Export" and the part that says "Import" to tell the user that before the import can be done, the accounts, have to be recreated from scratch, and as such, this would be a good time to note all your account settings which may have been done so long ago, you can't remember all the details about them. An example of what might have to be done is use a different port or hostname because of security policies or the inability for ZD to notify the user setting up the account that the hostnames don't perfectly match. (Yes I've created a big report on this.)
Had a warning been issued before I did the installation (which automatically, unbeknownst to the user, removes the old version without warning) I'd have taken screen shots or written down the settings for the accounts so that the recreation of the accounts would be smoother and easier.
I'm trying to save people headaches.
