I installed a virtual ZCS Network Edition 4.5.10 server with all the Zimbra compnents in a Xen Virtual Environmet on my LAN using CentOS 5.1. In my DMZ I built ZCS Network Edition 4.5.10 server with just MTA and SNMP also on CentOS 5.1 on a physical server. The reason for an MTA Relay in our DMZ is for our external users to use this server instead of the LAN server to relay mail.
I am new to Zimbra and I used the Multi-Server installation document to perform the install. First off I can not get to the Admin console of the DMZ MTA server but I can communicate completely between the 2 servers; meaning ping, telnet to ports 25, 110, 389; but not 7071 except on the LAN Virtual Server. On the LAN Zimbra Server Web Admin console I do not see this new server under the Servers tab and do not see where I can add it.
On the DMZ MTA server when I run /opt/zimbra/./zmsetup.pl it returns:
Operations logged to /tmp/zmsetup.log.3180
Setting defaults... MX: franklin.scgus.net (192.168.113.68)

Address unconfigured (**) items or correct ldap configuration (? - help)
I go ahead and enter the unconfigured items, pointing to the LAN Zimbra Server as the LDAP master host and MTA Auth Host. I hit 'S' to save and 'Q' to quit, 'Q' asks me "Quit without applying changes? [No]" I type Y since I had already saved hit 'S' to save the config.
On the LAN Zimbra Server I am using on External Active Directory as an authentication service. I have pointed the LDAP Master Host to the AD Domain credentials as well with no luck.
I am new to Zimbra and appreciate any help...thanks
