    Default install on shared server

    i have a shared server environment and do not have access as a full admin. i am not able to shut down mysql for example and they have many other programs running on the server.

    here is a note from the quick install;
    You cannot have any other web server, database, LDAP, or MTA server
    running, when you install the Zimbra software.

    can i install zimbra in a shared server environment?........i have searched and did not find an answer to this question?

    Default Shared server

    The short answer is no.

    The long answer is "maybe, but it won't be easy".

    But when you say "I don't have full admin access" does that mean you don't have root access? Because if you don't have root, it's never going to happen.
